Following recent (and not so recent) closures of well known lesbian venues, as well as the ebb and flow of events aimed at the lesbians and bisexual women on long, and the general fast-changing nature of the “scene” for gay women in London, Planet London is embarking on a survey to find out where lesbians go out and where they want to be going out. This survey is sponsored and supported by members of the community including G3 Magazine, GoGo Festival and Exclusively Pride.

London Falcons GFC - Gay Friendly Football Team in South West London

London Falcons GFC was formed in 2006. We currently compete in the Gay Football Supporters Network (G.F.S.N.) National league and the London Unity League, and we also play regular friendlies against other LGBT football teams in London and across the country. The ethos of London Falcons GFC is to encourage gay men to play football in a competitive but social and supportive environment. For players of a senior or intermediate standard that seek a good standard of competitive football, then come along and train with the club's GFSN side.

Guyz in Sync have made it into the final 28 acts on Got to Dance!

We are Guyz in Sync, the UK’s only all-male gay Latin and Ballroom formation dance team, and we have made it into the live-semi-finals of TV talent contest Got to Dance on Sky1. Getting to this stage means we have beaten thousands of other dance acts to be in the final 28.Two acts from each semi-final will qualify for the grand final later in February.

Coming out as a gay man can be a personal challenge; a struggle with a new identity, sometimes dealing with rejection and for those without any support it can also be a lonely journey as well.  Last year, Attitude and the Guardian published articles about depression and suicide rates within the gay community (Evidence shows that gay men are more than twice as likely to attempt suicide), these statistics also suggest lack of community support, family support and understanding and no sense of belonging.
