Camden Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Forum

Camden Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Forum is a registered charity, ‘run by LGBT people for LGBT people’, that aims to; promote equality and diversity by the elimination of discrimination in relation to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people …..The Forum ensures that the rights and interests of LGBT people are represented in Camden and surrounding boroughs by: advocating on behalf of LGBT victims of hate crime; working in schools to combat homophobic and transphobic bullying; ensuring services such as Housing or Leisure are Ok for LGBT people; lobbying bodies such as the Council or the Police; running community events such as IDAHO, Trans Day of Remembrance, and LGBT History month. The Forum also promotes LGBT artists and performers and creates new links with organisations such as the British Library and British Museum etc They also undertake special projects such as producing the dvd Treading on Eggshells. The Forum meets on the first Tuesday in the month and is open to all LGBT people.
